Hyperion Media is pleased to announce the release of the first completely fan-made tribute album dedicated to Jean Michel Jarre, "Jarre Forever". It was launched on September 7th, and is now being sold at www.jarretribute.com

"Jarre Forever" was created as an idea in 1998 when a group of Norwegian Jarre fans decided they were tired of boring cover versions and dubious synthesizer compilations, made by hired hands without passion for the original music. Why not let the real fans compile a CD with their own versions, in the style they had developed as a result of being influenced by Jarre? The idea caught on, and soon recordings started to pour in. To avoid being taken over by commercial interests, the producers looked for solutions for developing the CD that would keep it in the Jarre spirit. This meant that the completion of the project took some time, but as we can now state that every aspect of the CD, from music, artwork and audio mastering, to financing, promotion and distribution, was done by actual Jarre fans, it was worth the wait.
